Course Self Enrolment
Self enrolment for the course is based on two ways - Joomla user group system or direct enrolment or combination of both.
Joomla User Group
A user is enrolled in a course when the authorised user group is in the course group. So, enrolling in a course means adding the user to the required user group.
The user will have the access to the course even if the student has not enrolled in.
Direct Enrolment
If you don't want to use Joomla! user groups, select the user group as None. To see the direct enrolments, navigate to the Users from the backend dashboard.
User Cases
There can be two possible cases. Here is how the "Enroll Now" button (on the course page) works in each case.
1. Guest User (Not registered)
The user is redirected to the login page. After registering and logging to the website, the student can enrol or join the course.
2. Logged-in User
Logged-in or registered users are directly enrolled in a course. If the course is associated with the Joomla! user group, the the user is also added to that group.
If the user is already enrolled, a warning message is displayed.
