Email Campaigns: Edit
This page is used to add a new or edit an existing Campaign. Campaigns are series of newsletters that can be sent manually or automatically when a user subscribes or modifies profile. Before creating a campaign, you need to add one or more newsletters of the type "Campaign".
Form Fields
Title: This is the title of the campaign.
1. Campaign Tab
Description: Enter the description about the campaign. This is for reference only.
2. Newsletters Tab
Newsletters: Add the newsletters along with the delay (in days).
For example, for the first newsletter, you can set 0 to send immediately, then 2 to send after two days of user subscription, and so on.
3. Users Tab
By default, the campaigns are sent to all Joomla users. Here, you can add filters to send the campaigns to specific users.
User Fields
- Filter Field: Add the column name from the users database. For example - id, name, email
- Filter Operator: Add the operator like =, > or <.
- Filter Value: Add the value.
Custom Fields
- Filter Field: Select the Joomla! user custom field.
- Filter Operator: Add the operator like =, > or <.
- Filter Value: Add the value.
4. Sending Options Tab
Priority: This is the priority for the newsletters in the campaign. Newsletters with lower priority are sent first.
On Registration: Choose whether to send the campaign when a new user registers or subscribes to the website.
On Modification: Choose whether to send the campaign when an existing user updates the profile.
5. Subscribers Tab
Here, you can view the users subscribed to the campaign. Once subscribed, a user cannot be subscribed again. This is to prevent sending repeat emails.
You can also delete all the subscriptions to this campaign.
6. Info Tab
Here you can see the total number of users the campaign will be sent to. This is based on the user filters.
