Integrate Joomla with LinkedIn
The TF Tools component allows you to integrate your LinkedIn company page or showcase page with your Joomla website.
Before you can use LinkedIn integration, you need to create a LinkedIn app. You also need to associate your app to a LinkedIn page. In case you don't have LinkedIn business page, you need to create it first.
Step 1: Create LinkedIn App
Sign in to your LinkedIn account. From the developer account, navigate to My Apps section. Click on the "Create app" button.
Fill in the form. All of the fields are required.
- App name
- LinkedIn Page
- Privacy policy URL
- App logo
Click on Create app button.
Step 2: Add Products
From the Products tab, select "Advertising API" product and add it. You should see this in the Added products.
Step 3: Get Auth Settings
From the Auth tab, under OAuth 2.0 settings, find the the Authorized Redirect URLs field and add a redirect URL like:
https://www.example.com/index.php?option=com_tftools&task=channel.linkedin&channel_id=<channel_id>
Replace www.example.com with your website URL and <channel_id> with the ID of the LinkedIn channel created at the back-end. Click on "Update" button.
Step 4: Get Application Credentials
From the Auth tab, under the Application credentials, copy the Client ID and Client Secret.
Add these two under the Options tab.
Step 5: Connect to LinkedIn
Next, click on "View Channel" and Connect to LinkedIn. Allow the required permissions.
After successful connection, you will be redirected to the channel page. Under Organizations tab, you will see your company pages along with their IDs.
Copy the ID for the page you have connected your LinkedIn App and it under the channel options.
