I have been trying to figure out how to use the above plugin. I have tried everything, I believe.

I have Custom User Fields, assigned them in TF Geo. When is it supposed to collect the data and save it? Is just creating the fields and assigning them enough. Please, what am I missing?

Hello

The plugin saves the location data when new user is registered or user profile is saved from the frontend.

You can check the following:

• Plugin should be enabled and set to Public.
• For each field, in the custom field permissions, Edit Custom Field Value (for Public) should be allowed.

Let me know if this works.

I was missing changing the custom fields to Edit Custom Field Value to allowed. However, instead of changing each individual field I put the fields into their own group and changed the group, so all the fields were inherited in one group change.

Thank you, it worked. I also remembered reading you did not want to activate the plugin from the backend (administrator). I changed to allow edit from Site only.

Thinking about it... Was changing edit to site only necessary? I would like to be able to look at the data gathered without going to the DB if possible. Would saving a user from the administrator pull in my location? I guess I could play with it and try but your thoughts?

Editable in Site is not required as plugin will only work on the frontend.

Saving a user from the backend will not have any impact on the location.
