TF Mail when to send scheduled mails
Where can I define when to send an automated mail? I have an automated mail that is scheduled to send all new articles from a category each day (if there are new articles).
I thought I had set it to check for the new articles at 21:00 (time part of sending date) but today I created a new article around 10:00 and the newsletter was send out at 12:20 (I see the sending date is changed too).
Hello
In automatic newsletters, send date changes automatically based on the frequency and actual time when the newsletter is sent (time when cron runs). If the newsletter is not sent, then the date is not changed.
As the sending date (with any time) is in the past, so it will send the newsletter if it finds new articles.
The same Cron is used to send automatic newsletters and process queue, so it will not be possible to specify exact time when to send the automatic newsletters.
Sorry, but that makes no sense (to me) (and is useless). If I set a frequency of 1 day (and (somewhere) an hour late in the evening), I assume it collects all the new articles from the day's articles, and puts them together in the newsletter. If I create an article in the afternoon, I want it to be in the newsletter in the evening and not the day after because someone (I or someone else) had already posted something in the morning and the newsletter has already been sent.
So an extra parameter for that would be very appreciated or an other solution. Now my scheduled tasks (Mail_Q and Mail_SAM) runs each hour.
Before (the latest updates), it worked fine like that.
Greetings,
Filip
