TF Mail Quick Guide
TF Mail Joomla! extension is used for email marketing and automation. The extension includes main component, user plugin, subscriber module and task automation plugin.
This guide will help you in setting up the basic component in few minutes.
1. Users
TF Mail uses Joomla! users as subscribers.
User Subscription: Users can be subscribed through Joomla registration form, subscription module, component menu link, through backend, CSV file import, Joomla API or any other method where Joomla users can be created.
User Unsubscribe: When a user unsubscribes, the user is marked as unsubscribed. Any emails in the queue are deleted, any campaigns user is subscribed to are deleted. The user will not receive not further emails.
2. Newsletters or Mails
The first step is to create a newsletter or mail message you need to send to your users. From the component dashboard, click on the Newsletters.
Click "New" to create a newsletter.
- Title: It is the subject of the email.
- Description: It is the body of the email.
- Type: Select Newsletter from the options.
Click "Preview". Here, you can see the subject, content and users for the newsletters.
Click "Send" to send your first newsletter to all your users.
Type of Newsletters
- Newsletter: It is simple email you can send one time.
- Campaign: These are used by the campaigns.
- Automation: It is automated email than can be sent repeatedly at a given frequency.
- Other: These emails can be used by other components.
Users Tab: By default, the newsletter will be sent to all your users. Here, you can add filters to send the newsletter to specific users.
Sending Options: Here, you can set the send date, priority, and frequency (for automation type) of the newsletter. You can schedule the newsletter at a later date to be automatically sent.
3. Queue
When you send any newsletter, it is added to the queue. From the dashboard, navigate to the Queue. Here, you will see the list of newsletters and users combination, which will be send by the component.
Click "Process" button to send newsletters in the queue to your subscribers. You can also automate this using task plugin.
Email Limit: In the component options, you can set the number of emails to send at one time.
