Hi, I'm not getting any e-mails after a user enrols to a course.

The users are being added to the system correctly, but with a badge saying they need to reset their password.

Right now I need to redirect the user to the password re-direct page supplied by Joomla!, where they can re-enter their email and get a password reset e-mail with a token.

But in the documentation for TF Learn the extension is supposed to send out the password reset email as per self enrolment.

I've even tried enabling notifications under configuration but this doesn't help. And I've checked my spam mailbox as well and there's nothing.

Thanks for your help.

Hello

This was used earlier and now we have recently removed this feature. As the component now uses Joomla users system completely, you can send customized emails using any other email component. You can use our other component TF Mail as well.

Thank you for letting us know. We will update the documentation.

Hi, I'm still having problems getting e-mails from the Tech Fry TF Learn component.

In the back end, I can add a user using the New User button and fill out the forms, leaving password blank, and requiring a password reset upon next login. Then the user who signed up will receive an email notification with a temporary password that they can use to login.

However when a user is added through the TFLearn enrol form, no e-mail is sent. I'm starting to think that the e-mail isn't being triggered by the component.  It doesn't seem to be blocked by my hosting provider because the e-mails are sent properly when I add users manually.

Is the fix to install another component?

Thanks.

Hello

Registration and enrollment emails are not triggered by TF Learn component. You can install other component for triggering emails on user registration. You can use our another component for that: TF Mail.

Another alternative is to use Joomla registration form for registering users and then enrolling them in the course. This will add one more step to the enrolment process.
